Shop Drawing Review

Can it be made?: Upload a shop drawing and get back an itemised verdict of whether it can be fabricated without a question back to detailing. Literally checks to see if all the dimensions and placement instructions are present using a VLM (Opus).

Note:

Does not check for compliance with contract/project requirements.
Does not check for compliance with detailing and shop preferences (hole sizes, weld types, connection preferences).
We have other tools for this and may eventually blend them together.

What it does

Criterion-by-criterion review

Every sheet is checked against an evolving detailing rubric: Dimensioning, part location, hole patterns, weld and fit-up callouts — with a PASS, FLAG or FAIL and a plain reason.

Evidence, not guesswork

The model must build a dimension inventory from what is actually drawn.

Patterns across the job

Statistics rank the criteria your drawings fail most often, by rubric category and by member type, so detailing standards can evolve.

Invite-only with spend caps

Access is approved per person, each account carries its own review budget, and my own global 'kill switch' stops my costs spiralling!

Connect your assistant

A built-in MCP server allows you to use your preferred tool (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor ) to use the app externally.

Built for the checker

Zoom and pan inside the sheet, redline directly on the drawing, override any verdict with a note, and export a two-page PDF for the detailer.

Drop in a single sheet or a multi-sheet PDF; pages are split and filed under a project and phase.

Run the review, work through the failures on the drawing itself, and override anything the model got wrong so it can continue to learn.
